Women’s Solstice Hike Celebrate the solstice in the mountains with a group of other ladies. The hike will go to windy point, an 8km round trip hike with 400m elevation gain. Meet at Mount Lougheed View Point 7pm -12am

Summer Solstice Full-Moon Skate Party Put on your best summer and glow attire and let the good times roll at this DJ’d roller skate party. Door prize and prizes for best costume. Cedarbrae Community Centre 8:30pm-11pm

Solstice 5km Run til the sun goes down. Waves of runners will be going out so everyone finishes running together as the sun goes down. Celebrate with an after party and included beverage. Registration also includes a shirt,sunglasses, water bottle and socks. 9pm $60

Plaid Goat Mountain Bike Festival If you love to mountain bike or want to get into mountain biking make sure to check out this festival. There’s demos, group rides clinic, group activities and more. Canmore Nordic Centre Runs June 21 5pm to June 23 8pm $10-$20

Red Deer 5km Foam Fest Take part in a 5km foam obstacle course race. There’ll bee 22 fun and foamy obstacles with a beach towel and shower included to get it all off. You’ll also get a popsicle, medal and photos. Red Deer Heritage Ranch 8am-2pm $75

Yoga and Beer Start your weekend off right with some rooftop yoga followed by some beer. Money raised goes towards muscular dystrophy. Brewsters Mckenzie 9am-10am $25 includes beer

“Purr”fecting Marlborough’s Catwalks Discover Marlborough’s Catwalks through a scavenger hunt. There’ll be some activities, snacks and prizes and people are welcome to walk or bike. Maryvale Park start 12:30pm-3pm

Mad Max Ride Grab your best mad Max Gear and wheel or ride down from Stampede to the Sled Island Block Party at Inglewood Bridge. Lots of prizes for best costumes. Stampede 1pm-4pm

Saturday Night Outdoor Disco Under The Stars Enjoy the hopefully good weather with a roll underneath the stars and a disco lamp. Cedarbrae Community Centre 6pm-10pm $6

Ride Don’t Hide Ride to raise awareness and money for mental health. With 10km, 20km, 50km and 105km distances available there’s options available. People will be riding all over Canada. Route starts in the Springbank park for All Seasons.7am-1pm $65

Divas Half Marathon and 5K In this women’s half marathon and 5k, not only will you get chip timing but you’ll also get a tech t-shirt, pink tutu, feather boa, tiara and a post glass bubbly. Awards for top 3 age group and overall finishers. Eau Claire 8am-12pm $85-$125

Strength in Abilities Take part in a 2km, 5km or 10km walk/run to raise money for Vecova Centre for Disability Services and Research. Edworthy Park 8:30am-12pm $25-$40

Mud Fair Fun Run Have fun and get muddy in a 5km run. There’s also lots of races and activities for kids. Lloyd Park 9:30am-11am $15

June 24

Bootcamp in the Park Take part in some strength training, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, balance and coordination drills before you go home for the day. Central Memorial Park 5pm-6pm

Flow and Restore Yoga Take part in an all levels, by donation yoga class. Sunalta Community Centre 5:45pm-7pm

June 26

Pure Cycle Outdoors Take part in a spin class overlooking the reservoir. Last week of classes at this location. South Glenmore Park 6pm-6:55pm

June 27

tridosha Yoga Enjoy a 90 minute yoga session in Confederation Park. 5:30pm-7pm By Donation with proceeds going to charity

June 28

Village on the Mat Enjoy a free yoga class celebrating Village Days, a Crescent Heights community festival. Props and iced chai will be provided and there will be prizes. Crescent Heights Community Centre 5:30pm-7pm


June 29 Roundup Run

July 1 Encore 4 on 4 Street Hockey, Canada Day Trail Run
