If you are looking for something new to try January is a great time to do it! The weather is also warming up so you can continue with your usual outdoor activities or try some new ones.
HIGH Fitness Charity Pop Up Class– Try out a HIGH Fitness class. The class is family friendly so you can bring your kids and all money raised goes towards Canlearn. There are also post class refreshments. 6:30pm
Decidedly Jazz $5 class week– Try one of DJD’s many classes for only $5. 12-9pm Jan 2-4
University of Calgary Holiday Pricing- It’s the last day of holiday pricing at University of Calgary Recreation. Adults can use the fitness centre, gymnasium, pool, squash courts, climbing and bouldering walls for only $5 and for kids it’s even cheaper.
Roller Derby Taster Night- Try out roller derby and see if it’s right for you. The session is completely free and includes all your equipment. 7-9pm
Free Spirit Dance Free Class Day– Try out sampler versions of Free Spirit’s classes for free. They offer both fitness classes and dance classes. 9am-5pm
Freestyle Skiing World Cup Community Day- Meet with some Canadian athletes and try out a safe moguls course yourself. 9am-2pm
JCC Fit Week/ Get Active for Alzheimer’s- From 10am to 2pm there will be a yoga, HigH fitness and burlesquercise class with proceeds going to the Alzheimer Society of Calgary. The rest of the week all classes will be free. There’s 98 classes to choose from and includes classes for teens and seniors. There will also be healthy snacks.
Free Pound Class– If drumming or music are your thing try out a Pound class. 8-9am
Oxygen Yoga and Fitness Karma Week– Try out hot yoga classes and a variety of other fitness classes for free from January 8-15.
JCC Fit Week– runs until January 13
